CLEVELAND, OH--- The Cleveland State Men's Basketball team played their one and only exhibition game before the official start of the 2023-2024 season, defeating the visiting Baldwin Wallace Yellowjackets 96-48 from the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland.
Cleveland State looked amazing in this exhibition matchup vs Baldwin Wallace Thursday night, the Vikings were all over the Yellowjackets, playing in mid-season form. The Vikings' offense was primarily from behind the arc, making 8 of their 16 attempts. The Vikings were led by Tae Williams who was on fire from the field shooting 8 for 10 with 18 points. Williams would be closely followed by Jayson Woodrich off the bench with 17 points and 5 made 3 pointers on 8 attempts, vintage Woodrich. Drew Lowder also had a great game scoring 14 points on a 6-11 night shooting from the field while also getting 3 steals.
