“Rocky” Actor Burt Young Passes: Burt Young, known for playing Paulie in six "Rocky" films, is dead at 83. Young's daughter confirmed the news to the “New York Times,” who said he died earlier this month in Los Angeles. With over 160 film and television credits to his name, it was his role as Paulie in the 1976 original “Rocky” film that earned him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor. He also appeared in films such as "The Killer Elite," "Mickey Blue Eyes," and "Transamerica," as well as television shows such as "Law and Order" and "The Sopranos." Young was a young boxer from Brooklyn and became known as a movie “scene stealer.” The actor also have a long list of theater credits.
