Two victims were hit in a Thursday afternoon shooting incident in Cleveland and the youngest, a three-year-old boy, has died.
The shooting happened near West 66th Street and Denison Avenue in the city's Stockyards neighborhood.
Witnesses report hearing people fighting followed by the firing of multiple gunshots.
The older victim, a 31-year-old man, survived the incident with non-life-threatening injuries while the child, who was inside a vehicle with his mother and 11-month-old brother when he was shot, later died at a local hospital.
Police say they have detained persons of interest.
