Parking in downtown Cleveland is about to become a little more of a task than it already is, as late Monday night, City Council approved legislation to increase parking rates on city-owned lots. Ward 2 Councilman Kevin Bishop cites trying to keep downtown affordable but since expenditures were exceeding revenues the increase was necessary, and so many folks park on streets long term, as compared to in an off-street lot.
Next stop for the legislation? Mayor Bibb's desk.
