The Guardians fell to the Blue Jays 3-1 in their series opener from Progressive Field. Gavin Williams was terrific in his start and struck out 12 batters while giving up just one hit over seven scoreless innings. Enyel De Los Santos got the loss after giving up a two-run homer in relief. Bo Naylor drove in the lone run for Cleveland, which dropped to 54-and-59. The Guardians are still second in the AL Central. The four-game series continues tonight.
