CLEVELAND - VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (VANEOHS) is proud to announce a special resource open house on Wednesday, June 21, at the Metroparks Zoo.
The primary focus for the event will be the Expanded Eligibility Enrollment Open House with VHA and VBA staff on-site to review Veteran eligibility review, offer related information on burn pits and other toxic exposure screening, discuss the 20+ new expanded presumptive conditions and additional presumptive-exposure locations for Agent Orange and radiation, and to explain survivor, dependent, and caregiver benefits.
University and college representatives will also be available to discuss GI Bill education opportunities.
Passage of the PACT Act represents the largest expansion of coverage offered by the U.S. government to its Veterans in the past many decades, and experienced and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to explain eligibility to northeast Ohio Veterans seeking to learn more about the care they are entitled to receive.
Veterans planning to attend will be provided four tickets for Zoo entrance per family and should bring their Photo ID (Military or State DL) and their DD214 discharge form to gain entrance and to aid on-site enrollment.
