Wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer The Iron Sheik has died at the age of 81.
Sheik, real name Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, was best known as the man Hulk Hogan defeated to win his first WWF World Heavyweight Championship at Madison Square Garden in 1984.
He spent most of his wrestling career as a heel, feuding with All-American heroes like Hogan and Sgt. Slaughter, and tag-teaming with Russian strongman Nikolai Volkoff.
Late in life, he became a popular personality on Twitter.
Sheik is survived by Caryl, his wife of 47 years, and their children Tanya and Nikki.
