The Guardians fell to the Red Sox 5-4 in their series opener from Cleveland. Enyel De Los Santos got the loss after surrendering four earned runs without recording an out in relief. Will Brennan went three-for-four with an RBI while Josh Naylor and Josh Bell each had two hits and a run batted in. Cleveland is now 27-and-33 and sits second in the AL Central. Game two of the three-game set takes place tonight. Tanner Bibee gets the start opposite Kutter Crawford.
