The Guardians dropped their series to the Yankees following a 4-3, extra innings defeat in New York. The game was tied at three runs apiece heading into the bottom of the 10th until Jose Trevino hit a walk-off single. Shane Bieber had a terrific start and surrendered just two runs on five hits over eight innings. Trevor Stephan was tagged with the loss in relief. Cleveland fell to 14-and-17 and is second in the AL Central. The Guardians host the Twins in the first of a three-game series tomorrow.
