The Guardians dropped both games of their doubleheader to the Tigers in Detroit. The team lost 4-3 in game one after Kerry Carpenter hit a walk-off homer for the Tigers. James Karinchak suffered his third loss of the season. Cleveland was shutout 1-0 in game two as Riley Greene's solo homer in the sixth inning proved to be the game winning run. Starter Peyton Battenfield gave up just three hits over six innings in the loss. The Guardians will try to avoid the sweep this afternoon.
