The Guardians got blown out by the Yankees 11-2 in Cleveland. Gerrit Cole was credited with the victory to improve his record to 3-and-0 after holding the Guardians to two runs over seven innings. Franchy Cordero slugged his third homer of the season after hitting a three-run shot. Hunter Gaddis got the loss after surrendering eight runs over three innings. Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor each drove in a run for Cleveland, which dropped to 7-and-5 on the season. The team will try to win the series this afternoon at Progressive Field.
