ORLANDO, FL--- The Cavs got their 50th win and secured home court advantage for the first round of the playoffs Tuesday night with a 117-113 victory over the Magic.
Donovan Mitchell would also secure his 4th straight game scoring at least 40 points Tuesday night scoring 43 points, along with dishing out 4 assists while pulling in 5 rebounds. Mitchell is the first player since James Harden in the 2018-19 season to achieve such a scoring feat, Harden would score 40 points in 5 consecutive games. The Cavs had a tough battle in Orlando, even though the Magic sport a sub .500 record, coming into their matchup with Cleveland, they had a 20-19 home record, and the Magic would show exactly why with a tough performance against the Cavs Tuesday night with 6 players scoring in double figures lead by Markelle Fultz with 23, Paolo Banchero close behind with 20, Franz Wagner with 17, Cole Anthony with 15 and Goga Bitadze with 10. Another very notable performance for the Cavs came form Caris LeVert, who had a 16 point first half finishing with 19 for the night. LeVert was 7/10 from FG range and 5 for 6 from behind the arc, being a utility man for the Cavs ever since the trade deadline.
