A St. Paul, MN man has been charged with fatally stabbing his wife during a Bible study.

Prosecutors say 40-year-old Robert Castillo and the victim, 41-year-old Corrina Dawn Woodhull, were attending a weekly Bible study hosted by Castillo's sister at her home.

The sister says Castillo and Woodhull were acting normally until he whispered something in her ear. After Woodhull shook her head 'no', Castillo suddenly pulled a knife and stabbed her over 20 times before he was restrained by other attendees.

The couple had been married for about two years and had recently separated. Castillo has prior assault convictions and a history of violence towards women, according to his sister.
