Cavs Get 45th Win On St. Patrick's Day 117-94

CLEVELAND, OH--- The Cavaliers have gotten their 45th win on the season Friday night defeating the Washington Wizards 117-94, holding a team under 100 points for the 22nd time this season. The Cavs improve their home record to 29-8.

The Cavs were in control for the entire game, especially with their defense, holding the Wizards to a 44% FG percentage in the first half. The Cavs played great team basketball Friday night, lead by point guard Darius Garland who lead the way passing with 9 assists, finding teammates with great looks all night. Garland was also one of 3 Cavaliers that finished with 20+ points on the night, Garland lead the way with 24, Mitchell would score 20, and so would Mobley. Each of these players also made an impact on the defensive side, with Donovan Mitchell racking up 4 blocks and Caris LeVert continuing his electric play with 4 steals that would lead to buckets for his teammates. Their final stat lines would look like this, Darius Garland would finish with 24 points, 9 assist and a 21+/-. Donovan Mitchell would finish with 20 points, pull in 9 rebounds and block 4 shots. Caris LeVert would score 15 points, pull in 4 rebounds, dish out 3 assists and obtain 4 steals. Evan Mobley would score 20 points, pull in 9 rebounds and dish out 3 assists. The Wizards weren't quite all game though, as in the 3rd quarter they would cut the lead to 9 but that would be the closest they would get as he Cavs continued to play excellent defense and score 78 of their 117 points in the paint.
