U.S Marshals Arrest Garfield Heights Murder Suspect

CLEVELAND - Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Travis Hicks, 32, on Thursday. Hicks was wanted by the Garfield Heights Police Department for murder. It is alleged that on September 25, 2022, Hicks shot and killed Ronnie Briggs, 27, at the Showcase Bar and Grill in Garfield Heights. Briggs was the co-owner of the bar, and the shooting followed an argument that took place between Briggs and Hicks. Hicks has been on the run ever since and members of the task force arrested Hicks at an apartment near 1900 block of Ford Drive in Cleveland.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Our fugitive task force will continue to take dangerous fugitives off the streets in northern Ohio. The men and women of our task force pour their hearts into these cases and don’t rest until these fugitives are brought to justice.”
