Padres top Guardians as pitching struggles, 6-4

GOODYEAR, AZ- With 21 days left until opening day, the Cleveland Guardians continued Cactus League play Thursday afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark against the San Diego Padres. RHP Hunter Gaddis made his first start of the spring giving up 2ER on 6H in 3 innings pitched. LHP Konnor Pilkington struggled out of the Guardians bullpen throwing 2.1 innings, giving up 5H, 4ER, 1HR, 2 BB. Bats were alive in the 2nd and 9th innings as the Guardians plated two runs in both, falling 6-4.

Cleveland will travel to Phoenix tomorrow to take on Milwaukee Brewers for the second time this spring.
