Hamburger Buns On A Truck Bursts Into Flames

An Illinois bread company could soon be selling pre-toasted hamburger buns after one of its bread trucks turned over and burst into flames.

The accident happened at about 5:51 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 55 in Channahon, where the quick-thinking driver disconnected his cab from the trailer after realizing what was happening, authorities say. He walked away with no injuries. The Turano bread company trailer -- and the buns -- didn't fare so well, however. Fire department officials say they were a complete loss.

The blaze caused a four-mile backup on I-55 that lasted throughout the morning, police say. Investigators have not yet determined what started the fire.
