A potential disaster was narrowly averted at Boston's Logan International Airport on Monday night.

The FAA says a JetBlue flight and a Learjet had a 'close call' when the Learjet pilot took off without clearance, just as the JetBlue flight was preparing to land.

The JetBlue pilot took "evasive action" and managed to avoid any contact. It was able to land safely 14 minutes later.

The FAA is investigating the incident.
