ATLANTA, GA--- The Hawks were in full control of the Cavaliers Friday night, defeating Cleveland 136-119 in a game where the Cavs just couldn't quite get anything going. The Cavs were playing the second game of their 11th back to back on the season, coming in with a 7-3 record in these situations.

The Cavs were ice cold from both 3pt range and from around the floor tonight, shooting 37% from behind the arc, and 45% from the field. The Cavs did show some bright spots, going on a bit of a run towards the end of the first half, ending it at the buzzer with a Raul Neto bank shot to carry a small amount of momentum into the second half, but it wouldn't look like much compared to the Hawks 81 point first half. Aside from that, the second quarter was bad to say the least for the Cavs, with Atlanta's bench outscoring the Cavs' bench 19-0 at one point in the quarter. There was a couple bright spots for the Cavs in Darius Garland and Evan Mobley. Garland would finish the game with 33 points, his 8th 30+ point game of the season. Mobley would surpass 2,000 career points tonight, finishing with 13 points and 4 rebounds.

Trae Young was among the leaders in the dominate performance for the Hawks, leading the team with 34 points while dishing out 9 assists. Dejounte Murray was close behind Young scoring 25 points, dishing out 8 assists and pulling down 9 rebounds. 2 other Hawks finished in double figures, Clint Capela and Bogdan Bogdanovic both finished with 10.

The Cavs will get some much needed rest Saturday, returning home to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse Sunday afternoon to host the Toronto Raptors for a 6pm tip. You can hear the game on WTAM 1100 AM, 106.9 FM, the free iHeartRadio app, or HERE
