2023 Oscar Nominations and Snubs

The 2023 Oscar Nominations have been released, and as you might expect as with every year, there are surprises on both sides. The film Everything, Everywhere All at Once has led the way this year with 11 nominations. The Netflix piece All Quiet on the Western Front racked up 9 nominations, tied for the most with The Banshees of Inisherin.

One of the biggest snubs comes in the Best Picture category, where Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Glass Onion both missed out on Best Picture Nominations.

Lots of buzz over the Best Director Category as the list of nominations is made up entirely of male filmmakers, and another surprise is Tom Cruise didn't get the recognition some feel he deserved for his role in Top Gun: Maverick.
