CLEVELAND, OH--- The Cleveland State men's basketball game had a tight contest with the Milwaukee Panthers Thursday night at the Wolstein Center, losing in overtime 68-64. Both teams had a rough night shooting, Milwaukee shot 37% from the field, and CSU shot 32% from the field.
Turnovers haunted both teams tonight, 29 total for the game with the Panthers coughing it up 14 times and the Vikings 15 times. As I said it was a tight contest, there were 5 ties and 11 lead changes on the night. Tristan Enaruna led the Vikings in scoring with 16, pulling in 5 rebounds. Deshon Parker was dishing out the rock left and right racking up 5 assists on the night along with 7 points of his own. Tae Williams dominated the glass with 13 rebounds and 13 points, securing a double-double. On the Panthers side of the ball, only 1 player managed double figures and that was BJ Freeman off the bench with a game leading 24 points on 50% shooting night. Defense was the key for both teams tonight, as they both found success running zone almost all night.
The Vikings are back in action Saturday, hosting another Milwaukee team, the Green Bay Phoenix, who will be coming off of a 79-69 loss to the Fort Wayne Mastodons. Tip off is set for 3pm, you can hear the game on Fox Sports 1350 AM The Gambler, the free iHeartRadio app, or HERE
