CSU Falls to Kent State 67-58

CLEVELAND, OH--- The Cleveland State Men's Basketball team fell to Kent State Saturday afternoon by a final score of 67-58. CSU at one point was down 11-1 but managed to fight all game and keep the contest close for a majority of the game.

After being down 11-1 in the first half the Vikings managed to fight not only all of the first half, but for the whole game, finished the half down 32-27. Deante "Spider" Johnson had quite the game Saturday, scoring 20pts, which not only lead the Vikings but also lead all scorers. The Vikings couldn't keep up with Kent State's hot shooting though, as the Golden Flashes would have 3 players in double figures in Miryne Thomas (12), Malique Jacobs (18), and Sincere Carry with 16. Thomas lit up CSU with his 4-7 FG percentage with all 4 of those being 3 pointers and only one shot that wasn't from behind the arc.

The Vikings will be back in action Sunday, December 18th from Los Angeles, CA where they will face the Loyola Marymount Lions. Tip off is at 5pm, you can hear the game on WTAM 1100 AM, 106.9 FM, the free iHeartRadio app, or HERE
