CLEVELAND - Upon seeing the story of the Whitesburg, Kentucky Police Department losing most of their police vehicles to the flooding that has devastated Letcher County, Kentucky, last week, Tim Lally Chevrolet and Tim Lally Specialty Advanced Vehicle Equipment (S.A.V.E.) quickly donated a Ford Explorer Police Interceptor equipped for use with a K9 unit that was traded in on a new Chevrolet Tahoe Police Pursuit Vehicle.

John Kuivila, retired law enforcement administrator and director of Tim Lally S.A.V.E., said that he reached out to Assistant Police Chief Justin Hunsucker of the Whitesburg Police Department to see if his department could use the traded K9 unit vehicle. Asst. Chief Hunsucker was very grateful as they needed a K9-ready vehicle. Brock Lally of Tim Lally Chevrolet said that the decision to help was in line with his family’s long history of supporting law enforcement agencies.

For nearly one hundred years, the Lally family and Tim Lally Chevrolet have been serving the automobile sales and service needs of Clevelanders. Several years ago, owners Mike Lally and John Kuivila joined to create Tim Lally S.A.V.E., and the agency committed to being a one-stop shop for police, fire, and EMS vehicles.

Tim Lally S.A.V.E. not only stocks the vehicles but can also customize the equipment upfit for the law enforcement or fire agency using their team of GM Factory Trained Technicians.
