PARMA - At approximately 8:40 PM on August 1, 2022, the Parma Police attempted to make a traffic stop on Tiedeman Rd. just north of Brookpark Rd. on a motorcyclist who was driving without a plate on his vehicle. The motorcyclist then recklessly fled northbound on Tiedeman before crashing into a car exiting the I-480 westbound ramp at Tiedeman.
Unfortunately, the male driver of the motorcycle later succumbed to his injuries from the crash. The male has been identified as James G. Meadows, age 25, from Garrettsville, OH. He was the only rider on the motorcycle. The vehicle that was struck was driven by a 52-year-old Cleveland woman who suffered non-life threatening injuries from the accident. She was the only occupant inside her car.
The entire sequence of events lasted approximately 30 seconds. It is unknown at this time whether or not any drugs or alcohol were involved. The Brooklyn Police Department is handling the accident reconstruction investigation.
