CLEVELAND - It’s been 3 years since there was concert at First Energy Stadium due to COVID-19 and on Thursday night no one was wearing masks. Rock Hall of Famer Joan Jett got fans rocking on the North Coast on a beautiful, sunny day in Cleveland. Jett, a founding member of the Runaways, set list included “I Hate Myself For Loving You” and “Bad Reputation”.
Poison took the stage around 6 p.m. led by front man Brent Michaels. He told the crowd Cleveland was one show he did not want miss after he was hospitalized and missing a show in Nashville on June 30th. They performed all of their hits including their #1 hit single “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”. At the end of the show, Michaels thanked all the veterans in the crowd for their service.
Dep Leppard did not disappoint. The English rock band led by Joe Elliot on vocals, closed their set with their top 20 hit “Photograph”. See video of the song below.
Motley Crue with original band members Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee closed out the show. Their set list featured songs such as “Home Sweet Home”, “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Kickstart My Heart”. See video of them taking the stage and their first song “Wild Side” below.
All in all, Cleveland once again showed why it’s the Rock-n-Roll capitol.
