Guardians settle for a series split with the White Sox after their 2-1 defeat. Lucas Giolito earned the win pitching six-and-one-third scoreless innings while giving up just five hits in the game. Cleveland scored their only run in the bottom of the seventh off a fielding error. The Guardians remain four-and-a-half games back of Minnesota for first place in the division. The team hosts Detroit in the first of a four-game series beginning tonight.
