Stuff The Truck For Providence House

CLEVELAND - WTAM afternoon host, Bloomdaddy, announced that WTAM is teaming up with the Cleveland Guardians to "Stuff The Truck" for Providence during a live broadcast from Gateway Plaza on Friday, June 24th from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. The announcement was made by Guardians owner Paul Dolan and his wife, Karen during his show on Friday who are both big supporters of Providence House. Bloomdaddy said, "I am all about helping kids and I'm happy to be able to lead the effort to Stuff The Truck!"

Providence House is looking for these types of items:

-New Children's Clothing (girls summer outfits newborn to size 12, boys summer outfits sizes 5T to 7 and boys shorts 9 months to size 14).

-Cleaning supplies including powder free latex gloves (large size), paper towels, Clorox wipes, dish soap, laundry soap, all purpose spray cleaner, disposable cups and plates, magic erasers, 13-gallon trash bags.

-Household items including white bath towels, white hand towels, white washcloths, kids-size suitcases, adult body wash, loofas, women's deodorant.

-Non perishable snacks (whole grain microwave popcorn, whole grain granola bars, whole grain goldfish crackers, whole grain Rice Krispy treats).

-Gift cards (Target, Walmart, Giant Eagle, Dave's Supermarket, Office Depot, gas cards)

Both businesses and individuals are asked to drop off items by driving through Gateway Plaza by entering off Ontario Street between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. on June 24th. Fans going to the Guardians-Red Sox game that evening will be able to drop off items by walking up to the truck all the way up to game time.

Providence House is Ohio’s first and one of the nation's longest operating crisis nurseries among the 70+ in operation in the United States and Canada today. They offer free, voluntary, non-custodial emergency shelter to children newborn through twelve years old, actively living in crisis situations which place them at risk of abuse or neglect.
