CLEVELAND – Tickets are now on sale for the 2022 USA Boxing National Qualifier held on April 25-30, 2022 at Cleveland State University’s Wolstein Center. This year’s USA Boxing qualifier is hosted with the support of Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. This event will bring over 1,000 boxers from across the nation to Cleveland to go head-to-head in USA Boxing’s first national tournament of the year.
Attendees can purchase tickets in advance online or on-site at the Wolstein Center Box Office. Tickets range from $12 for single day passes on Monday through Friday to $25 day passes for Saturday’s Finals. Children 7 years and younger are free. All session passes are available for $40. Credentialed participants will receive free entry throughout the tournament.
“USA Boxing is looking forward to bringing a national tournament back to the state of Ohio,” said Taryn Cass, USA Boxing Events Coordinator. “Cleveland has a rich boxing history, and we are excited for the local support and involvement from the boxing community there.”
The week-long event will see elite boxers, ages 18 to 39, punch their ticket to the 2022 USA Boxing National Championships later this year. Additionally, pee-wee to youth boxers will gain valuable national experience and ranking points while competing in this tournament.
“Cleveland is thrilled to welcome the 2022 USA Boxing National Qualifier this spring as it creates an amazing opportunity to celebrate our city’s long-standing history with the sport,” said David Gilbert, President and CEO of Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. “Through a strong partnership with USA Boxing and the Wolstein Center, our team is looking forward to working directly with local boxing clubs and other community organizations to make this a successful event and build on the diverse scope of events Cleveland has continually attracted."
This marks the first USA Boxing national tournament held in Ohio since the 2019 Eastern Elite Qualifier held in Columbus.
