Avon Lake - For years the bald eagles named Stars and Stripes have made their home in Avon Lake near Redwood Elementary School. The Avon Lake tradition of watching Stars and Stripes has become so popular that they have a dedicated YouTube page for the pair of love birds. If you were lucky enough to be awake Sunday Morning at 7:30 you would have witnessed the hatching of their first egg. It is too early to know whether or not the eaglet is a girl or boy.
