If you feel you're already overpaying for groceries, brace yourself: prices are expected to continue going up.
The United States Department of Agriculture has released its food price outlook for 2022, which predicts the average cost of groceries will climb another 4 percent by the end of the year. Individually, cereal and baked goods are expected to rise 4 percent; dairy prices are predicted to climb by 5 percent; and poultry will take a 7 percent jump, the report reveals.
Even going out to eat won't save consumers from the jacked-up prices. The Department of Agriculture predicts the average cost of eating out will increase by 5.5 to 6.5 percent before the year is over
