Firm Buys Three Ohio TV Stations As Part Of Five-Billion-Dollar Deal

(Toledo, OH) -- New York investment firm Standard General is purchasing over 60 television stations, including three in Ohio, for more than five-billion-dollars.

Officials at TEGNA announced today they had sold more than 60 TV stations in 54 markets across the country to Standard General. The deal would include WKYC in Cleveland, WBNS in Columbus, and WTOL in Toledo.

The sale is expected to be completed in the second half of the year.
