The Cincinnati Bengals' quest for their Super Bowl title will be extended at least another season. The Bengals lost 23-20 to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 56 at So-Fi Stadium. Cincinnati took the lead on their first play from scrimmage of the second half when Joe Burrow hit Tee Higgins for a 75-yard touchdown.

However, the Rams went back on top with under 90 seconds left in regulation on a go-ahead touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to Cooper Kupp. Burrow threw a desperation incompletion as he was being sacked on fourth down of the Bengals final drive to give the ball back to L.A. and seal the loss. Burrow passed for 263 yards and a touchdown, but he was sacked seven times in the loss. Joe Mixon also threw a touchdown pass for Cincinnati, whose magical season ends just one win short of a championship.
