(Wickliffe, OH) - The Wickliffe Police Department has released more details surrounding the mysterious death of a woman at a hotel.
In the early morning hours on Sunday December 19, 2021 Wickliffe Police Officers were dispatched to the Fairbridge Hotel for a report of a female screaming for help in a room.
Upon arrival, officers were directed to the room and found the door open.
The unresponsive victim, identified as 35-year-old Jessica Sturdivant of University Heights.
Sturdivant was declared brain dead upon arrival to a local hospital and subsequently passed away.
After investigation, Sellewyn Dancy, who was found 'naked' with Sturdivant was initially charged with felonious assault, however following Sturdivant's death, more serious charges are expected.
He is currently being held without bond at the Lake County Jail.
