(Cleveland, OH) - 25 members of the Ohio Military Reserve are deploying to the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center for up to 30 days.
Governor Mike DeWine approved the plan due to staffing shortages at the jail caused by the coronavirus surge.
According to the state Department of Rehabilitation and Correction over 50 members of the corrections staff are out because of the virus and nearly 150 inmates have recently tested positive.
