TWINSBURG – A member of The O’Jays who’s body was found in Twinsburg has been identified as Frank “Frankie” Little Jr. through DNA and genealogical research. Little’s remains were found in a garbage bag behind a Twinsburg business in 1982 and the original cause of death was undetermined but will now be ruled a homicide. Investigators said Little had been dead between two and four years before his remains were found. He was a guitarist and songwriter with the O’Jays.

Twinsburg Detective Eric Hendershott told WTAM News he reached out to the DNA Doe Project in 2019 and they compared the victim’s DNA with profiles in GedMatch and Family Tree DNA which led to a woman in Cleveland who was Little’s cousin.

Little was a guitarist and songwriter with the O’Jays.

Now that Little has been identified, Hendershott is seeking tips on the murder. Hendershott can be reached at 330-405-5679 or via e-mail at ehendershott@twinsburg.oh.us
