(Cleveland) - Thanks to a generous grand from the Wenk Family Charitable Foundation, the Cleveland Animal Protective League will be cutting adoption fees for dogs and cats until Christmas Eve.

APL President and CEO Sharon Harvey says the adoption fee for adult dogs over 6 months old will be reduced to $21, including Cuyahoga County license fees. Cats over 6 months old will cost $25 to adopt, and kittens will cost $50 to adopt.

Harvey says they have about 100 animals at the APL for which they'd like to find forever homes. They include dogs, cats, kittens, bunnies, a parakeet, and 20 guinea pigs. She lovingly refers to some of the older animals as "scratch and dent animals."
