(Cleveland, Ohio ) - Tuesday afternoon, staff at the Goodwill Corporate Headquarters in Canton received an anonymous email of a threatening nature that led to the decision to close 22 stores and five (5) donation centers.
"We wanted to make sure our staff and customers were safe and to give law enforcement time to do their job, " commented Vice President Maureen Ater. "We have not yet identified the source of the threat."
Ater adds that this time of year brings the most focus on donations and that when stores open to bring unwanted goods to donation centers.
