(Akron) - A piece of Northeast Ohio baseball history can soon be part of your rec room or man cave. The Akron RubberDucks and the City of Akron are replacing the seats at Canal Park, and a few hundred of those seats are being put up for sale.
RubberDucks General Manager Jim Pfander says these are the original seats, which have been in place since Canal Park opened 25 years ago. The seats are being sold through a company called Stadium Seat Depot, which makes a business out of selling historic baseball park seats. Seat prices are betwen $100 and $250.
Pfander says the seats had a 20-year life expectancy, so it's definitely time to replace the seats at the ballpark.
