Fugitive of the Week Xavier Hempstead

Cleveland, OH - The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive 18-year-old Xavier Hempstead. Hempstead is wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated homicide. It is alleged that on September 25, Hempstead and his brother, Rashaun Williams, killed 20-year-old Darius Cruz near Gunning Park Recreation Center in Cleveland. It is alleged that Hempstead and Williams shot Cruz multiple times in the head and back. Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Williams on October 26, at an address on W. 150th Street in Cleveland. Hempstead was not arrested on that date and is still wanted.

Hempstead is a black male, standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 150 pounds. Hempstead’s last known address is on W. 150th Street, Cleveland. Hempstead is to be considered armed and dangerous.
