Cleveland, OH - The Cleveland Division of Police are investigating the following incidents, including two homicides, a bank robbery, a fatal overdose and three injured officers.
Three officers were injured while on scene at 1262 E. 58th St. Three officers and a male citizen were injured after falling off a 1st floor porch. The officers were exposed to the male's blood. Officers responded for a male violating a temporary protection order and were on scene for 2 hours utilizing de-escalation. The incident occurred while taking the male into custody. The male reported he was high on meth. All three officers and the male were treated at MetroHealth.
A bank robbery at 1301 E. 9th St. at the Dollar Bank at the Erieview Galleria building. The suspect passed a deposit slip and demanded money. He then fled the scene. The suspect is a black male in his 40's, stand 5'10. He was wearing a blue hat, blue hoody and black pants.
A fatal overdose at 4205 Henritze Ave. #DN. Officers and EMS responded for a 36-year-old female who overdosed. The female was pronounced dead on the scene and evidence was also found on scene.
A homicide investigation at 3211 W. 94th St. On October 18, 2021 at approximately 11:10pm, officers responded to 3411 W. 94th Street for a male shot. On arrival, three victims who suffered gunshot wounds were located. A 24-year-old male and 36-year-old male were located outside and a 30-year-old female was located inside of the home in the dining room. EMS transported all 3 victims to MetroHealth for treatment where the female was pronounced deceased. Members of the Homicide Unit responded for investigation. On scene it was learned that two victims reside at the West 94th street address as boyfriend and girlfriend. The three males were sitting in a vehicle belonging when the suspect, who is a relative of one of the victims and sometimes stays at the residence as well, came out of the house and began shooting at the car with the victims in it. The suspect then fled the scene. 3 firearms were recovered at the scene. The suspect, Deonte Fudge, is a black male, age 28. He is or was driving a red Mercury Sable with Ohio license plate JLP9794. He is believed to be armed with multiple firearms. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Fudge is asked to call 911. Anonymous information can be provided by calling Crimestoppers at 216-25-CRIME and a cash reward of up to $5,000 may be available.
A homicide investigation at 10518 Crestwood Ave. On October 19, 2021 at approximately 1:20am, officers responded to 10518 Crestwood for a female screaming and a male shot by his girlfriend. Upon arrival, the arrested suspect met the officers and stated she had shot her boyfriend. The victim was found down in the living room of the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers administered first aid until the arrival of EMS who continued care. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Members of the Homicide Unit responded for investigation. The suspect turned over a firearm to officers. This matter remains under investigation.
