Opening statement:
“Huge challenge this week, a 5-0 football team coming into our stadium. Obviously, the crowd has been outstanding in our home games this season, and we need them again. We need a great effort from our crowd because this is a really, really potent offense that we are facing, a great defense and really, really sound special teams. We have to be about our business. It has been a good week of practice. We are looking forward to the challenge.”
On if RB Nick Chubb sustained the injury during last week’s game against the Chargers:
“Yeah, I think it was towards the end of the game.”
On the severity of Chubb’s injury and if the team may place Chubb on injured reserve:
“We ruled him out for this week. I am not going to go past this game.”
On if WR Jarvis Landry could potentially be added to the active roster and play this week:
“I think we will see.”
On if RB Kareem Hunt will get more touches this week with Chubb out or if the Browns offense will spread the ball around more:
“Anytime you are without a player of Nick’s caliber, guys have to step up. It is never one person who replaces Nick Chubb. Obviously, we feel real strong about Kareem and what he is capable of, but guys have to step up.”
On if the Browns playing on Thursday night next week impacted the team’s decision to designate Landry to return from injured reserve:
“I think it is just a normal course of the rehab and where he is.”
On the Browns listing T Jack Conklin and T Jedrick Wills Jr. as questionable:
“We will see how it goes over the next 48 hours. We will see.”
On if Wills suffered a setback this week during practice, given Wills started to practice on Wednesday and appeared to stop:
“I would not call it a setback. He is doing a really nice job. He is pushing real hard.”
On if it is a focus to get WR Odell Beckham, Jr. the ball more moving forward:
“I think we want to score points any which way we can. Obviously, I think Odell is a great football player so we are going to make sure we get him the ball as often as we can. Sometimes the defense decides to take one thing away, and it should open up something for someone else. I think you guys know how I feel about Odell, and certainly, he is a big part of what we want to be.”
On the challenges the Cardinals pass rush presents and the impact if Cardinals DE Chandler Jones is unable to play:
“They are outstanding. They are relentless. Just watch the first game of the season, Chandler Jones was making plays all over the field, and if it was not him, someone else was being disruptive. Obviously, (Cardinals DE) JJ Watt is a great player. He is going to get his hands up. He is going to try and bat balls. He is going to be disruptive. Across the board, I think their pass rush is outstanding.”
On what G Blake Hance and T James Hudson III showed during last week’s game:
“I thought both guys acquitted themselves fairly well. They are working real hard to get better every single day.”
On the Browns situation at T going into Sunday’s game:
“We listed those guys as questionable and see how it goes over the next 48 hours.”
On if he saw DE Myles Garrett’s Halloween decorations:
“I did. More creative than my house (laughter).”
On if he has any Halloween decorations up at his house:
“Not currently. Northeast Ohio has impressed me with their decorations.”
On if he showed the picture of Garrett’s Halloween decorations to his kids:
“Not yet. I will.”
