Browns DE Myles Garrett Dealing with Soreness

On if he got hurt in practice yesterday:

“No, I did not get hurt in practice. Just been having some nagging pain, and decided to let me heal up and get ready for Sunday.”

On if he is confident he will play on Sunday:

“Yes. Confident I am going to play. Get ready and get right.”

On if his status will be a game-time decision:

“No, fully expecting to go. It has been bothering me since last week. Had some pains then and even the week before. Nobody is 100 percent across the league. Just have to make sure I am as close to that as possible and make sure I can be a positive force when I am out there.”

On the soreness occurring before the Vikings game rather than during or after the game:

“Yeah, it has been going on.”

On if he feels the injury during the game:

“Yeah, I do. When the adrenaline gets flowing, it starts to go away, but at the beginning before the game, that is when I am really trying to work on it as much as I can to make sure that it does not hold me back.”

On what is bothering him the most:

“I can’t tell you that.”

On his strong start to the season despite dealing with soreness and it not holding him back:

“Push through it. Not much. Not much at all. When I go out there, it is at the back of my mind. I am putting 100 percent out there, putting my body on the line and do not care about what happens to me – it is all about the team.”
