LORAIN, OH - On the morning of October 1, 2021 the Lorain Police Narcotics Unit along with members of the Lorain Police SWAT team and K9 Unit executed a search warrant at 705 E Street, Apartment 4 on the east side of Lorain. This is the residence of Canaan Sullivan, twenty three years old. The search warrant was the result of an investigation by the Lorain Police Narcotics and Special Investigation Unit, led by Detective Craig Payne. Canaan Sullivan was not present at his residence when the search warrant was served.
During the search, detectives located a loaded .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver as well as a loaded .22 caliber Mossberg rifle. The Smith and Wesson revolver was reported stolen out of another jurisdiction. In addition to the firearms, detectives located over 200 grams of marijuana, 417 pills which are suspected “pressed fentanyl”, 7 grams of methamphetamine, 135 grams of suspected powder fentanyl, less than a gram of cocaine and over twelve thousand dollars cash.
There is currently an arrest warrant for Canaan Sullivan for trafficking in a fentanyl related compound. Anyone who is aware of Sullivan’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Lorain Police at 440-204-2100.
This investigation was sparked by information provided by citizens in the neighborhood as well as proactive efforts of the patrol division of Lorain Police Department. The Lorain Police Narcotics Unit encourages anyone who suspects that drug activity is taking place in their neighborhood to contact their office at 440-204-2108 or by submitting a tip via tip 411. Those wishing to provide information can remain anonymous.
