COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced the completion of "Operation Ohio Knows" on Monday, the largest human trafficking sting in the state's history.
Over 160 people were arrested in the sting, which concluded last week, and 10 people who had gone missing were recovered.
Yost says those arrested include a city councilman, a home improvement contractor, a firefighter, and a college professor. Some of the arrests also yielded firearms and drugs.
Three of those arrested were knowingly trying to buy sex from minors.
Local law enforcement agencies from across Ohio assisted in the operation, along with the US marshals service.
