Mayoral Candidates Face Off In Second Debate

(Cleveland) - For the second time, Cleveland's seven mayoral candidates faced off in a debate Tuesday night. The debate was described by a cleveland.com reporter as "relatively cordial with jut a bit of mixing it up among the candidates."

The candidates seeking the job being given up by Mayor Frank Jackson are: City Council President Kevin Kelley, City Councilman Basheer Jones, State Senator Sandra Williams, former Mayor Dennis Kucinich, former City Councilman Zack Reed, non-profit agency executive Justin Bibb, and attorney Ross DiBello.

Bpth debates were sponsored by ideastream and the City Club of Cleveland.

The primary election will be September 14. Early voting for the primary is already underway at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. The two candidates with the most votes in September will face off in the general election on November 2.
