Cleveland, OH - This afternoon, the U.S. Marshals arrested 32-year-old Allen McDowell and 23-year-old Jajuan Malone. McDowell was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder and Malone was wanted by the Elyria Police Department for aggravated murder.

It is alleged that on July 18, Allen McDowell chased down and then proceeded to fatally shoot 48-year-old Wesley Wright in the back of the head near E. 20th Street and Krause Court in Cleveland. This afternoon, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested McDowell at an address on Warrensville Center Road in Beachwood.

Reportedly on February 28, Jajuan Malone shot and killed another male inside a restaurant on W. River Road North in Elyria. Task force members in Lorain developed information that led them to believe Malone had fled to Georgia. Subsequently, this afternoon, Malone was arrested at a hotel in Jonesboro, Georgia by the U.S. Marshals Service. He will be detained in Georgia until he can be extradited back to Lorain County.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Our task force members are relentless in their pursuit of these violent fugitives. As you can see by today’s efforts in arresting homicide suspects in Georgia and Cleveland, we will never stop pursuing these fugitives, no matter how near or far they are.”
