(Avon Lake) - Here's good news for people who launch their boat in, and go fishing off, Avon Lake. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is planning to give the City of Avon Lake a $500,000 grant, which the city can use to build ain improved fish cleaning station at Miller Road Park.
The proposal calls for stainless steel wash basis, and a grinder to get rid of what's disposed of after fish are filleted. There will also be new restrooms, a concession stand, and more parking.
Avon Lake City Council has to agree to accept the grant,. If they do, the money will be paid directly to the developer of the fish cleaning station,. The city would have to maintain it.
