CLEVELAND - Dennis Kucinich has thrown his hat in the ring to be the next Mayor of Cleveland. Kucinch was Cleveland’s youngest mayor at the age of 31 when he served from 1977 to 1979 now he’s vying to be Cleveland’s oldest mayor if elected at the age of 74.
A life-long Clevelander, Kucinich served in Congress as a United States Representative from 1997 to 2013. He made national news when ran for President of the United States in 2004 and 2008.
Mayor Frank Jackson will not run again. He’s held office for 16-years.
Other candidates in the race include Kevin Kelley, Basheer Jones, Zack Reed and Justin Bibb.
