(Cleveland) - This year's performing nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame are:
- Tina Turner
- Carole King
- The Go-Go’s
- JAY-Z
- Foo Fighters
- Todd Rundgren
The announcement was made Wednesday morning.
Inducted as early influencers were Kraftwerk, Charley Patton, and Gil-Scott Heron. The Musical Excellence Award goes to LL Cool J, Billy Preston, and Randy Rhoads. The Ahmet Ertegun Award goes to Clarence Avant.
This year's induction ceremony will be the first live one after the 2020 induction ceremony was canceled due to the pandemic, and replaced with an HBO special., The ceremony will also be the first in Cleveland to be held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, which allows for more social distancing than at the previous location, Cleveland's Public Hall. Tickets have not yet gone on sale for the event.
