(Brooklyn) - Family members of the woman accused of killing her six-year-old son last weekend in a room at the Fairfield Inn and Suites on Tiedeman Road say that the woman suffers from mental illness.
Daneicha Bringht is being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail on bond of $500,000 following a hearing in Parma Municipal Court on Monday. Prosecutors say a grand jury will now review facts of the case.
In an interview on Tuesday, Donald Bringht said his daughter was schizophrenic, and that the family had tried to work with the Department of Children and Family Services to remove little Kaamir Bringht from his mother's custody.
